How will they tell my story? How will they tell my tale? Will anybody even care? The question then is whether it is nobler in the mind To be well liked but ineffectual Or moral but maligned
I’ll never be a hero! All the citizens adore But if I hide to save my life What has my life been for? What has my life been for?
The road ahead may twist But I will never swerve I’ll give them all the unsung anti-hero they deserve I’ve nothing left to lose so the only path to choose is twisted
And then twist my words Let the people scorn me Who cares if no one will ever mourn me? Let them bury the signs of the story they’ll never learn Let the truth be twisted Let my life be twisted I’ll be twisted it’s my turn!
everyone’s talking about tiger fucker and take off your clothes but no on is mentioning the fact that the princess became sultan, combined two lands in peace, used her last wish to make her father happy, flipped off her creepy-ass sexist boyfriend, and promoted equality in her land all in one hour
Michigan about to require women to buy “rape insurance” based on petition signed by 4.2% of voters
A controversial initiative that would require women to buy an additional rider on their health insurance if they wanted abortion coverage is one short step away from going to the Legislature, where it is likely to easily become law.
Because no one filed a challenge by Monday’s deadline to the more than 315,000 signatures turned in to the Secretary of State, an initiative that would prohibit abortion coverage from being included in standard insurance policies will go forward.
And the Secretary of State certified Monday that Michigan Right to Life, which spearheaded the petition drive, has more than enough valid signatures to start the ball rolling on the new state law. A minimum of 258,088 valid signatures were needed. The anti-abortion activists turned in 315,477 signatures. And the Secretary of State’s elections division estimated that 299,941 of the signatures are valid.
The state Board of Canvassers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 2 to certify the signatures and then the petition moves to the state Legislature, which has 40 days to approve, reject or do nothing with the legislative ballot initiative.
L33te’s thoughts:Could you imagine being turned down for rape insurance? “I’m sorry ma’am, you do not qualify for rape insurance. We see you have a pre-existing potential to get raped.” >.<

If a vegan was being attacked by a grizzly bear and they had a gun, would they shoot it or would they fawn over how innocent and cute the “person” was until it ate them alive.
Damn right!!!! The world needs people like you asking the real…
But the ultimate test of an ideology is to hold it up to many hypotheticals. If it can’t handle hypotheticals, how can it handle the real world?
Oh, you don’t have to explain all about the real world to me. I get where you are coming from. Ideologies need to be able to handle any kind of hypothetical irregardless of the differences of intentions and context between the hypothetical and the real world scenario.
For example, how much do you hate the anti-killing human ideology? It’s so out of whack.
Let’s say hypothetically that you and me were on a deserted island (very possible by the way), and there was no food around, and eventually we got to a point where we would have to kill one another in order for prolonged survival, so then I kill you in your sleep, cut you up and throw you in a fire, and chomp away.
Or another hypothetical, let’s say you break into my house and I feel threatened for my life so I push you down a flight of stairs causing you to break your neck and die.
If it’s ok to kill you in these hypotheticals, then I don’t understand why it’s not ok to just go up to you, just as you are waiting for the bus or something, and hit you over the head with a baseball bat. Why should killing you in that scenario be any different than killing you based on survival from starvation and/or self defense? Isn’t it all the same thing……I mean you’re dead right?
People just love to over-think things. If the anti-killing human ideology was so perfect, then it would be able to handle such hypotheticals, but since it can’t, it makes killing humans under ANY circumstance valid (irregardless of intent or context).
I’m sure that since you’re the victim in these hypotheticals, you would still feel the same about being killed for my survival reasons or for self defense, or if I just decided to kill you just for shits and giggles in the real world. Just because you’re the victim in these scenarios, I’m sure it doesn’t change anything. You’re not disingenuous like that.
Humans like to universalize the characters of the species we abuse—
All turkeys are dumb.
All pigs are lazy.
All chickens are mean.
Not many humans actually know any individual members of these species. When they do, they usually only know them in a commodifying environment where genuine understanding of the other individuals’ nature and character is not possible.
And so humans make these all-reaching statements, simply to assuage their own guilt about the suffering they cause.
It reminds me of how we portray the other human groups we cause suffering to, describing their culture as vulgar, their intelligence as lesser.
Once we recognize that all individuals are different and that what we see as an undesirable character still does not warrant suffering, all of this can end.
Composer Jim Wilson has recorded the sound of crickets and then slowed down the recording, revealing something so amazing. The crickets sound like they are singing the most angelic chorus in perfect harmony. Though it sounds like human voices, everything you hear in the recording is the crickets themselves.
This recording contains two tracks played at the same time: The first is the natural sound of crickets played at regular speed, and the second is the slowed down version of crickets’ voices.
One of the weirdest things about going vegan is how 99.9% of food advertisements simply stop applying to you. You just become this spectator of a culture you’re no longer part of. Once you’ve lived on a plant-based diet for a certain amount of time, the idea of using animals for food becomes this alien concept beyond understandability. Like why did I ever do that? Why do others still do it?
People don’t get it because they don’t want to. I need people to get it. The nonhuman animals need people to get it. The earth needs people to get it.
It still amazes me how most people proclaim to be against animal abuse while actively participating and financing it. I bet many people will just look at those pictures with indifference, not making the connection.
All sentient being have the same right to live full lifes and to be free of pain.
Their lives are their own to live, they do not exist for our petty pleasure or exploitation.
